Nobody likes to waste money, and in my experience most physical therapists under-bill for their treatments. Whether it's from fear of being audited, not fully understanding the rules of billing and coding, or simply falling into bad habits, under-billing hurts the PT practice by leaving money on the table that should rightfully go to the clinic owners.
My program, Better PT Billing, teaches physical therapists how to bill more units for their treatments in a legal, ethical, and clinically appropriate manner. It is a deep dive into the rules of billing and coding to uncover opportunities for additional billed units that may have previously been unseen.
My name is Frank Jannotta. I have been a licensed physical therapist since 1996. A few years ago it occured to me that I had completed a Master's Degree program, and worked professionaly for over 20 years for at least 4 large employers, yet was never once taught the rules for proper PT billing and coding. And worse yet, was never taught how I could optimize my billing and coding. A subsequent dive into the actual rules of billing and coding led to an awful realization: I had been under-billing for my patient treatments for most of my career!
I now teach what I wish I had learned in 1996: How to bill more quality, reimbursable units in a simple, legal, and ethical manner!
Better PT Billing is a live, 90 minute presentation delivered to your clinical staff, in your facility, at a time convenient for your business. When your therapists have a complete understanding of the rules, they can safely and confidently increase their charges in many instances. Your staff will be empowered to spot opportunities that they may currently be blind to.
The training is provided by an experienced, licensed physical therapist with real-world clinical experience, using real-world examples that your therapists will relate to and appreciate.
This information is truly the "low hanging fruit" of revenue enhancement for PT practices. Therapists are able to implement changes to their billing habits immediately, with no additional time or effort required.
Understand that we are not talking about seeing additional patients. Nor are we talking about padding the billing with un-timed modalities. Nor are we talking about billing additional units that would not be reimbursed due to contractual constraints of the payor. Rather we are talking about a therapist seeing their usual number of patients, and ending the day with more billed direct contact units that are actually paid by the payor.
